\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA major milestone for small advanced nuclear reactors to reach commercialization will be the adoption of a Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS) by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Fortunately, the timeline is still being streamlined and the NRC announced they will be seeking public comment and holding a webinar to gather information that would assist the agency in drafting a GEIS for small advanced reactor designs.
