There are several things that can make a website inaccessible. The first is not considering the user experience at all. The most obvious risk is that you may be sued for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA protects people with disabilities from discrimination in employment and public accommodations such as hotels, restaurants, theaters, and more. If a person with a disability visits your site and finds it difficult or impossible to use because it isn’t accessible–for example if they can’t read the text on a screen without using screen reader software–they could sue under this law. If they win their case against you in court, then not only will this person be compensated for damages but also all other people who were similarly harmed by your lack of compliance with ADA regulations will be eligible as well! This means that even if only one customer files a suit against you over an inaccessible website design flaw, dozens more might follow suit due to class action lawsuits like those filed against Beyonce’s Lemonade album website last year (which was found guilty)
Different Types of Accessibility
There are several different types of disabilities, each with its own set of challenges.
- Auditory: A person who has an auditory disability may have trouble understanding speech or hearing sounds. They may also have difficulty communicating verbally.

- Motor and Cognitive Impairments: People who have motor impairments may struggle with fine motor skills such as typing or clicking buttons on a mouse; cognitive impairments can make it difficult for someone to understand what they’re reading online because they can’t process information quickly enough due to brain damage caused by strokes or Alzheimer’s disease.

When it comes to accessibility, you have a lot of elements at your disposal. Here are some of the most important ones:

- Links (internal and external)
- People with disabilities.

People who are blind or have low vision, who use screen readers to browse the web (screen readers read aloud content on a page). Screen readers rely on HTML tags to provide information about images, tables, and other elements of a webpage. If you don’t include these tags in your code, then your site may not be accessible to these users.
People who have trouble reading small text on their devices due to age or vision problems may find it difficult to read your site if it doesn’t meet WCAG 2 AA standards for text size requirements–which means bigger fonts!
